Isobutyl Acetoacetate

2-methylpropyl 3-oxobutanoate, Butanoic acid, 3-oxo-, 2-methylpropyl ester

Isobutyl AcetoacetateEthyl Acetoacetate was utilized to study the catalytic function of lipase B found in Candida Antarctica (CAL-B) in the decarboxylative aldol addition as well as Knoevenagel reaction between 4 nitrobenzaldehyde (4-NBA) and ethyl-acetoacetate. Ethyl Acetoacetate was utilized in the quantitative determination of urinary d-aminolevulinic acids by condensation reaction.

Ethyl Acetoacetate is a chelating agent for bidentate. It reacts with titanium tetraalkoxy to give solid titanic esters. Its reaction with different alkylating reagents is being investigated.

Ethyl Acetoacetate is an ethyl ester of Acetoacetic acid. Ethyl acetoacetate exhibits keto-enol tautomerism. The acetoacetate of ethyl reacts with aromatic amines when in the presence of zeolite commercially available and HSZ-360, forming diphenyl urea symmetrically.
